Construction monitoring, start to handover
A live Melbourne construction site needed verifiable progress reporting for stakeholders and contractor QA that would hold up against specification. Here is how the engagement ran.
01
The problem
Stakeholders were relying on written updates and site photos, and contractor claims could not be verified against specification without a site walk.
02
Our approach
A recurring capture schedule combining drone mapping and terrestrial scanning, timed to align with claim periods and key structural milestones.
03
What we captured
Elevation maps, georeferenced imagery and point clouds of completed works, with onsite QA before demobilising each visit.
04
What we delivered
Progress reports, quantity comparisons against specification, and a cumulative as-built record in the client CAD environment.
Result
Contractor claims verified against specification each month, no rectification disputes, and a complete as-built record at handover.
